As a trained journalist, Paul brings more than 20 years experience in writing and editing to the team.

With a background in newspapers, trade and consumer magazines, he made the move to the web working on digital projects for BT, Yell and UKTV. Whether it’s content for a corporate client or consumer brand, Paul’s looking for the angle to bring a story to life and connect with your audience.

We’re really aware that you can buy words by the yard these days. But that’s not what we’re about.

A creative and strategic thinker, Karen brings more than 20 years experience in creating, developing and managing brands to the Rocksalt team. With a background as a strategic planner in the design industry, Karen has worked for numerous brands including Marks & Spencer, Nestlé, Allinsons, Pepsico and Cow & Gate.

Karen focuses on consumer insights and audience awareness. She thinks about real people and who you're trying to speak to. Is it grandma booking a flight, mum looking for information, or  a new graduate trying to find out about a potential employer. It’s the rock solid research and understanding that connects our content with your people.

Applying her knowledge of user experience, accessibility, and usability, Kate considers all elements of a user's journey online when crafting web content.   

With degrees in Interior Design and Writing, Editing and Publishing, Kate strives to complement creativity with technical knowledge. She uses her extensive experience working with web developers, designers, SEO specialists, digital marketers, user experience specialists, and information architects to develop tailored content strategy for Rocksalt clients.

A trained writer with degrees in History, Literature and Writing, Editing and Publishing, Alex brings a maverick flair to the team, providing oddball ideas, creative copy and a ruthless editorial eye.

Having done everything from reviewing science fiction novels and writing about real estate to driving a forklift, Alex is ready for any sort of project and is always willing to get stuck in.
